Manchester United midfielder Anderson reportedly refused to take a breathalyser test after being stopped by police in Brazil yesterday.
The 24-year-old is believed to have been stopped at a police checkpoint in the early hours of Friday in Porto Alegre.
Brazilian law states that any person is not obliged to undertake a breathalyser examination, but they will be issued with the fine and have their licence seized.
As a result, Anderson was forced to allow his bodyguard to drive him home, according to GloboEsporte.com.
Anderson is currently in his native Brazil recovering from injury.
