Arsenal have allegedly informed Matteo Guendouzi that they do not intend to sell him despite the midfielder's disciplinary issues in recent weeks.
Guendouzi has come under fire following a clash with Brighton & Hove Albion's Neal Maupay in Arsenal's 2-1 defeat on the South Coast - the same match where the midfielder reportedly taunted the Brighton players over his wages.
As a result, the Frenchman was left out of Mikel Arteta's squad to face Southampton and allegedly revealed his desire to leave the Emirates, but according to ESPN, Arsenal are in no position to sell the 21-year-old.
Guendouzi has managed 24 appearances in the English top flight this term, but the midfielder has failed to hold down a regular spot in the starting lineup during the 2019-20 campaign.
The former Lorient man would not be short of options if he ends up seeking pastures new, however, with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan all said to be keeping a close eye on developments.
Arsenal return to action on Sunday lunchtime with an FA Cup quarter-final clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
