David Beckham has tipped former teammate Ryan Giggs to become Manchester United manager in the future.
Giggs took charge of the first-team squad for a short spell after the sacking of David Moyes in 2014 and currently serves as one of Louis van Gaal's assistants at Old Trafford.
After enjoying success alongside Giggs in the side under Sir Alex Ferguson, Beckham is hopeful that the Welshman will be given a chance to lead the team.
"To be a player who has represented one club through his career, that doesn't happen anymore. For a player to have represented his club and his country the way he has and now," the former England captain is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.
"At some point, he will hopefully become United manager in the future."
Van Gaal's current contract expires in the summer of 2017.
