Manchester United academy head coach Nicky Butt has claimed that winger Adnan Januzaj has the quality to win Champions League titles with the club.
The Belgian youngster enjoyed a breakout season under former manager David Moyes, before drifting through Louis van Gaal's time at Old Trafford and eventually being loaned to Moyes at Sunderland under Jose Mourinho's rule.
United either sold or sent out a number of academy graduates to gain playing time during the summer, but Butt has suggested that Januzaj could be the one to make a real impact when he returns.
"They're all really good lads and will have a good life, nice houses but they weren't at the level for United," Butt told The Times.
"It doesn't hurt me as much as, say, if Adnan Januzaj went and never came back.
"He's got the level to play for United and win leagues and Champions Leagues. Maybe he's not been as dedicated, a case of too much too soon, a millionaire now."
Januzaj has made 50 senior appearances for United since 2013, scoring five goals in the process.
