Former Manchester United captain Eric Cantona has claimed that he would consider taking the reins from Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson when the Scotsman decides to retire.
The 70-year-old, who celebrated 26 years in charge of the North West team this month, has made no indications as to when he will step down from his role but Cantona, who currently works as a director at US side New York Cosmos, has insisted that he would be willing to take on the job.
"United is special, of course I would do it," the Frenchman told ESPN. "Today I'm with the New York Cosmos, but if one day there is an opportunity, why not?"
The likes of Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho and former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola have been linked with the future vacancy.
