Tom Cleverley is hopeful that he can earn a recall to the England squad following his loan move to Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old, who completed his switch from Manchester United to the Villans earlier today, played a big part in the Three Lions' World Cup qualifying campaign, but failed to earn a spot in Roy Hodgson's 23-man party that travelled to Brazil earlier this summer.
However, Cleverley is relishing the opportunity to win back a spot in the national side.
"I have got to get back playing and hopefully as a by-product of that I can get back in the England team," the midfielder told Villa's official website.
"The thing I am concentrating on though is trying to come in and hit the ground running so I can help Aston Villa. Playing football is what matters most to me and I'm looking forward to getting back to what I know I can do. This is the kind of club where I can do that."
England face Norway in a friendly at Wembley tomorrow night, before travelling to Switzerland to begin their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign next week.
