Manchester United keeper David de Gea has insisted that he will get better after a mixed start for the Red Devils.
De Gea has let in 26 goals in 19 appearances between the posts, while selection rival Anders Lindegaard has maintained six clean sheets in a row.
"Hopefully, I'll equal or even surpass the performance and contribution Edwin [van der Sar] made," the Spaniard said.
"Let's face it, all keepers make mistakes once in a while, and none of us like it when we do.
"Errors happen but I've gone on to be more confident. The style of play here is more physical and as a goalkeeper you've got to be right on it."
De Gea moved to United for £17.8m from Atletico Madrid this summer.
