Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has insisted that he is in the "best physical shape" of his career.
When the Spaniard arrived at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011, question marks were raised regarding his physique, with some suggesting that the keeper was too lightweight to thrive in the Premier League.
However, the 25-year-old has since bulked up, which has resulted in his enhanced status as one of the most admired keepers in the world at present.
"I feel really good right now. I'm probably in the best physical shape of my career," he told Inside United.
"Let's hope that there is still a lot ahead of me to achieve and that I can continue to improve in order to reach my highest possible level of performance."
De Gea has kept nine clean sheets in all competitions for the Red Devils this season.
