Borussia Dortmund are reportedly preparing a club-record financial package to try to persuade Erling Braut Haaland to stay with the club beyond next summer.
The 21-year-old is one of the most sought-after strikers in world football, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid all interested in his services.
Dortmund are set to face an uphill battle to keep hold of their star striker when his £64m release clause becomes active in the summer of 2022.
However, Bild reports that BVB are looking to table a club-record contract offer to convince Haaland to stay put at the Signal Iduna Park.
The report adds that Dortmund are willing to double the Norwegian's wages to around £260,000 per week, while a bonus of up to £6.7m provided by Dortmund's sponsors Puma will also be included in his financial package.
Talks between Dortmund representatives - Haaland's agent Mino Raiola and the striker's father, former Man City midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland - are set to begin in the New Year, with a final decision over his future to be decided at the end of February.
Haaland has been in sensational form in front of goal once again this season, netting 19 times in just 16 appearances for BVB across all competitions. body check tags ::
