Jonny Evans has said that the windy conditions at the Britannia Stadium were "challenging" for Manchester United in their match against Stoke City this afternoon.
The home side made the most of the conditions to take an early lead and had chances to score a winner in the second half in the 1-1 draw.
The defender told Sky Sports News: "I said to Mame Diouf is it like this every week [with the wind] and he said it is. It was scrappy, but that was the challenge for us, to get the ball down and play.
"It kept holding up in the wind and you had to break your stride sometimes to let it drop. You have to dig in, we gave away too many free kicks in the second half. It is a bit of a blow having to defend corners and free kicks but we did it well."
The draw leaves United third in the table, just a point clear of Southampton.
