Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has been passed fit for Northern Ireland's upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers, despite suffering from an ankle injury.
The 24-year-old has been unable to feature for the Red Devils in their first two games of the season, which has caused a defensive issue for manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Despite Evans's recent bout of injury, the defender has been included in Michael O'Neill's squad for the games against Russa and Luxembourg on September 7 and 11 respectively.
Meanwhile, United are preparing to take on Southampton in the Premier League this Sunday.
