Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has admitted that he shed a few tears when David Moyes was sacked at Old Trafford.
The Belgium international, who also played under the Scotsman at Everton, was bought by Moyes in 2013 for a £27.5m fee.
Sir Alex Ferguson's successor lasted just 10 months in charge before he was sacked and eventually replaced by Louis van Gaal.
"I was sad when he went," The Mirror quotes Fellaini as saying. "I came into the canteen and saw him in a suit instead of his tracksuit. He called me into his office and told me.
"There were tears and that is normal, I am human. I worked six years with him. He was not a second father, but almost. He helped me a lot."
Moyes is now manager of La Liga side Real Sociedad.
