Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed his admiration for Jurgen Klopp after he was confirmed as the new Liverpool manager.
Liverpool sacked Brendan Rodgers last weekend and moved swiftly to bring in Klopp, who has been out of a job since leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.
Ferguson is confident that the German will enjoy success at Anfield. and he joked that he was concerned about his club's rivals under their new coach's guidance.
"It's a good appointment, I admire him, I know Jurgen pretty well through our meetings with the elite coaches classes in Geneva," he told ESPN.
"Strong personality, very strong, very stubborn, determined, and his performances, his career at Dortmund was a stellar rise to the top and I think he'll do very well. I don't like saying that, being Liverpool, I'm worried about it!"
Klopp will take charge of Liverpool for the first time when they meet Tottenham Hotspur next Saturday.
