Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed Michael Owen after an impressive display at Leeds.
The former Liverpool striker bagged two goals in the 3-0 victory in what was his first start since January.
"He was fantastic," the Manchester United manager commented after the match. "His ratio of goals per games is unbelievable. His second goal in particular was fantastic. I was really pleased for him.
"He’s still one of England’s best finishers. Unfortunately for us, he’s had one or two injuries and with Welbeck, Hernandez, Berbatov and Rooney, he’s not getting the games he deserves."
Owen moved to Old Trafford in 2009 on a free transfer from Newcastle United.
