Jose Mourinho could reportedly succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United if the Red Devils boss decides to end his career at Old Trafford earlier than planned.
Reports have surfaced suggesting that Mourinho is ready to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and return to the Premier League.
Ferguson is believed to be keen on the Portuguese boss, but the English champions will only consider appointing Mourinho if the Red Devils manager steps down, according to the Daily Mail.
The self-proclaimed 'special one' is reportedly open to taking charge at Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal if a position becomes available.
It is thought that the Football Association would be willing to snub Harry Redknapp for the 49-year-old when they search for a new England manager after the European Championships this summer.
