Bruno Fernandes insists Manchester United are fully behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Bruno Fernandes insists that the Manchester United squad are fully supportive of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture with Liverpool.

Bruno Fernandes has reiterated that the Manchester United squad "believe" in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

On the back of three games without success in the Premier League, United found themselves 2-0 down to Atalanta BC in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

While United eventually stormed back to prevail at Old Trafford, Solskjaer received more criticism for his selection and the level of his team's performance.

Nevertheless, ahead of Sunday's showdown with rivals Liverpool, Fernandes has rejected any suggestion that United's star players are not playing for the Norwegian.

Speaking to TNT Sports, the Portuguese said: "Of course, obviously, he is our coach. We follow him every day. We show that. We follow his ideas and we will continue to do so.

"We believe in our coach and our staff. We need to do what the coach tells us because our coach is the maximum exponent of what we must respect. He has been here for three years and we've done good things. It's true that we haven't won anything up to now, but the team has shown it has grown a lot.

"We have a lot to improve on and the coach also knows there has to be some improvement at their end but that is part of football."

United currently sit five points adrift of Premier League frontrunners Chelsea. body check tags ::
