Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Gross has described securing Premier League survival as an "unbelievable" feeling.
The Seagulls confirmed their place in the top flight next season thanks to a 1-0 victory over Manchester United, in which Gross scored the only goal.
The Premier League's patented Goal Decision System was called upon to establish whether the ball crossed the line, and the German has admitted that he was unsure whether he had actually scored at the time.
"It feels unbelievable, we've been working for this all season but we always believed we would achieve our goal," he told Sky Sports News. "We always believed we would have a chance at home, we've taken seven points in our last three games against the top six, we never stopped and we believed and that's why I think we won.
"I wasn't sure the ball was over, heading isn't my strength but I tried to get it on target."
Brighton are safe from relegation with two league games remaining, with fixtures against Manchester City and Liverpool still to contest.
