Thierry Henry believes that David de Gea should have won the PFA Young Player of the Year award after the goalkeeper produced another quality performance for Manchester United against Crystal Palace.
The Spaniard denied Glenn Murray with a one-handed save with the score at 2-1 and United held on to solidify their place in the Premier League's top four.
Former Arsenal striker Henry, speaking on Sky Sports News, insisted that De Gea has been the main reason that Champions League football looks likely to return to Old Trafford next season.
Henry said: "He has won so many points for the team and for that particular reason he was my young player of the year.
"As a goalkeeper it's difficult to win points but he did. He kept Crystal Palace at bay and how many times have we seen it this season?"
De Gea has been at United since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
