Thierry Henry: 'Nobody fears Manchester United anymore'

Thierry Henry claims that Manchester United must "recreate the fear" if they are to get their groove back under manager David Moyes.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed that Manchester United will continue to look a shadow of their former selves until manager David Moyes re-instills a fear-factor for opposition teams at Old Trafford.

United have endured a mixed defence of their Premier League title so far this season, with Moyes's men sitting ninth in the standings having amassed 22 points from a possible 45.

Back-to-back home defeats to Everton and Newcastle United recently have added to the Scot's woes at the Theatre of Dreams, and Henry is convinced that Moyes must "recreate the fear" if he is to replicate his predecessor's success.

"When we went to Manchester United, I can say it now, we knew they were going to come out strong," the Frenchman told Sky Sports News

"But now when I see teams going to Old Trafford, they are not even scared. They play. Some teams didn't even pass the halfway line. But when I see teams now, they are comfortable - they pass the ball around.

"They need to recreate the fear they used to have. Then they will be all right."

The Red Devils currently trail Henry's former club Arsenal by 13 points in England's top flight.
