Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has admitted that he is looking forward to the possibility of featuring for Mexico after rarely playing in the Premier League this season.
Hernandez has scored just seven goals during a frustrating campaign at Old Trafford, and the South American forward has revealed that he is "very eager" to earn some playing time for his country against Nigeria.
The 25-year-old told Record: "I am very eager to play as my club don't take me much into account. I hope that I have the opportunity to play.
"When you are called up, you have to be thankful and if not called up, you have to keep working. I am very happy and thankful with this call-up, like I was when I was called up for the first time."
Hernandez has scored 35 goals in 57 appearances for Mexico since making his debut in 2009.
