Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has said that the Red Devils will be boosted by the return of "one of the best left-backs in the world" this season in Luke Shaw.
Herrera, speaking after Man United's 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Friday, lavished praise on the Englishman, who missed almost the entirety of last season with a broken leg.
Shaw played 45 minutes of his team's 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic last weekend and was then given the full 90 as Man United lost to Dortmund in their second pre-season clash.
"We are very happy with him and we are very happy for him because it has been very tough," Herrera told the club's official website. "We have one of the best left-backs in the world and we have to take advantage of him.
"He has played for 90 minutes after 10 months without playing. You can see he is very, very quick and sometimes when you are not used to getting the ball at your feet then you can make some mistakes, but what we want from Luke is that he gets to the last line to make some crosses and he is doing that."
Man United will resume their preparations for the new campaign against Manchester City in Beijing on Monday.
