Everton keeper Tim Howard has revealed that he and his teammates went into their Premier League clash with Manchester United expecting to win.
The Toffees ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at Goodison Park thanks to strikes from Leighton Baines and Kevin Mirallas, to keep them in the hunt for the final Champions League place.
Howard told Sky Sports News: "We went into the United game expecting to win. That says a lot about how far we have come this season.
"We were probably expected to win and that was a positive sign for us. Fourth place is achievable. We want to go into that last game still feeling like we are 90 minutes away from Champions League football."
Everton trail Arsenal by one point in the race for fourth place and the final Champions League spot for next season.
