Manchester United summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he is looking forward to linking up with Wayne Rooney this season.
The Sweden international scored one and Rooney netted twice in United's 5-2 victory over Galatasaray in a pre-season friendly last week.
Ibrahimovic is expected to feature in Rooney's testimonial at Old Trafford tonight, which will mark the striker's 12 years at the North-West club.
"I think every big player can work with other big players," Ibrahimovic told MUTV. "That's not a problem. We are 11 players not two players on the pitch. It's up to the coach what he wants but, with him, I see no problems. Only success.
"I said many years ago the perfect partner for a striker is Wayne Rooney. He works not only for himself but for the striker and the whole team. I'm absolutely happy to be one of the guys beside him."
United's first Premier League game of the season is away to Bournemouth on August 14.
