Huddersfield Town's Tom Ince: 'Manchester United play slow football'

Huddersfield Town winger Tom Ince says that Manchester United played "slow" football during the Terriers' 2-1 victory at the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield Town winger Tom Ince has claimed that Manchester United do not play with "the same fluidity" as some of their Premier League title rivals.

On Saturday afternoon, the Terriers stunned previously-unbeaten United by running out 2-1 winners at the John Smith's Stadium, leading to Jose Mourinho questioning the attitude of his players.

However, Ince has claimed that it was United's style of play - rather than their focus - which led to Huddersfield registering a surprise three points in Yorkshire.

The 25-year-old is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "When you look at United, they're obviously a top quality side but they don't really play with the same fluidity as your Spurs or your Man Cities.

"They build up the game quite slow, they like to get it out wide and we felt that if we could win the ball back and try to exploit the space in behind – the space the full-backs leave because they go so high – then we were able to do that."

Ince has started in each of Huddersfield's nine top-flight fixtures since the club's promotion from the Championship.
