Phil Jones has signed a new contract at Manchester United that will keep him at the club until June 2019, with an option to extend for a further year.
The 23-year-old defender made his debut for the Red Devils in 2011 after moving from Blackburn Rovers, and has since made 128 appearances and won a Premier League title with the club in 2013.
Manager Louis van Gaal told the official Man Utd website: "We are delighted that Phil has signed a new contract. He is a talented footballer with great versatility and can play in a number of positions.
"Phil is a relatively young defender who is developing all the time. He missed some of last season due to injury but I was impressed by his professionalism and attitude during those periods."
Jones has also been capped 17 times by England.
