Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has insisted that he is "very happy" playing in the role that Louis van Gaal has given him in the team.
The 27-year-old, who has scored four goals in 13 games, is generally played on the right, but he had his best season in England playing as a No.10 for Chelsea in the 2012-13 campaign.
Mata has said that throughout his career he has switched positions and has no problems with where a manager chooses to play him.
"I used to be a striker, then I played as a No.10, then at Valencia I was a left winger and at Chelsea I was in midfield," Mata told MUTV.
"I am very happy with where I'm playing right now. It doesn't matter where you play you have to try to help the team, but obviously the best feeling in football is to score goals."
United are currently third in the Premier League table after eight games.
