Shinji Kagawa has conceded that he would like to feature in a more central role for Manchester United on a regular basis.
The Japanese international has made eight appearances for the Red Devils this term, most of which have seen him deployed on the left wing.
However, he was moved from the flank to the number 10 role behind Robin van Persie during last night's Champions League clash against Real Sociedad. In the wake of that switch, the 24-year-old is keen to be given more chances in that position.
"I had an easier time playing as a shadow top than I did on the left wing," he told reporters. "I need to be more involved in the match and I hope I can do so in our upcoming fixtures. I want to play better, sharper and faster."
Kagawa joined United in the summer of 2012 from Borussia Dortmund.
