Manchester United manager David Moyes has confirmed that Shinji Kagawa will not play any further part in his side's pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.
Kagawa returned early from his post-Confederations Cup break in order to feature in United's two pre-season matches in his native Japan.
He managed a goal in United's 2-2 draw against his former club Cerezo Osaka earlier today, but the Japan international will now resume his holiday instead of travelling to Hong Kong for Monday's match against Kitchee.
"We have given him (Kagawa) more holiday because of his football with Japan in the summer," Moyes told reporters. "We try to give all the players four weeks' holiday if possible.
"He hasn't quite had that time so we will give him another week's rest, although he will do some more training with the club here so he can have that time at home in Japan."
Meanwhile, Moyes has voiced concerns over the state of the pitch for Monday's match following heavy rain in Hong Kong.
