Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has claimed that teenage attacker Anthony Martial is capable of performing in "four positions".
The 19-year-old has mainly operated as the central striker since joining from AS Monaco in the summer, and he has scored four times in eight appearances for the Red Devils.
The Frenchman lined up on the left against Everton at the weekend, however, and Van Gaal has claimed that the youngster is capable of playing all across the frontline.
"He can play, in my opinion, four positions. He can play at 7 - as a right-winger, 11 - the left-winger, the striker's position and also at 10, I believe," Van Gaal told MUTV.
"But he has played in Monaco always in the left winger position and that is why I put him there against Everton. It was also because of [Seamus] Coleman. I think he is a very good right full-back so we could take benefit of Martial's qualities against him."
Manchester United are currently in Moscow ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
