Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku will face no further action following his alleged stamp on Dejan Lovren during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
Lukaku caught Lovren with his trailing leg during the stalemate on Merseyside and, while the incident went unpunished on the field, it was referred to the FA for possible retrospective action.
However, it has now been confirmed that English football's governing body will not charge the Belgian, having deemed that he did not intentionally stamp on Lovren.
Lukaku drew a blank at Anfield as United held on for a goalless draw, with the striker missing the chance to become the first player in the club's history to score eight goals in his first eight Premier League games.
United remain second in the table, now two points behind frontrunners Manchester City, while Liverpool are eighth and two points off the top four.
