Manchester United have reportedly suffered a blow in their hopes of signing Benfica youngster Joao Felix as Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona lead the race.
The teenage midfielder is rumoured to be at the centre of a massive bidding war between a number of European football's heavyweight clubs, potentially driving his valuation into nine-figure territory.
Felix has nine goals and five assists in 24 Benfica matches this season, including a combined six in his last four, each of which have been watched by United scouts.
The Mirror claims that the Red Devils are expected to miss out on the 19-year-old, though, as Madrid and Barca have also signalled their intent.
Both sides are also believed to have been present for Benfica's 10-0 thrashing of Nacional last weekend, with Felix again impressing from attacking midfield as he maintained his impressive goalscoring form.
