Harry Maguire is reportedly set to hold talks with incoming Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag.
The Englishman struggled in the 2021-22 campaign, coming under criticism throughout the season despite making 37 appearances.
A recent report suggested that Maguire's position as Manchester United captain is under question, with Ten Hag said to be considering possible replacements.
Despite calling Maguire a "great player" in his first Manchester United press conference, Ten Hag is set to discuss the captaincy with the England international.
According to The Sun, Ten Hag is expected to meet with the current Man United captain in July, with Maguire reportedly keen to retain the armband.
The 29-year-old is currently contracted to the Red Devils until 2025, having already made 144 appearances for the club since arriving from Leicester City in 2019.
