Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly on Manchester City's managerial shortlist to replace Pep Guardiola when his time at the Etihad Stadium comes to an end.
Guardiola, who has been in charge of the Citizens since 2016, intends to leave the club when his current contract expires in June 2023.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Man City have identified Ten Hag as a potential candidate to replace the Spaniard in 18 months' time.
Ten Hag has been heavily linked with a move to City's crosstown rivals Manchester United, who are looking for a permanent head coach to replace interim boss Ralf Rangnick next summer.
The 51-year-old is believed to be open to moving to Old Trafford, while Ajax would not stand in the Dutchman's way should he decide to move to the Premier League.
Guardiola has won 10 major trophies as Man City manager, while Ten Hag has won five pieces of silverware with Ajax, including the Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup last season. body check tags ::
