Marcel Sabitzer vows to 'give his all' for Manchester United following his arrival at the club on loan from Bayern Munich.

Marcel Sabitzer has said that he will 'give his all' for Manchester United, with the midfielder completing a loan move to the Red Devils on transfer deadline day.

The 20-time English champions moved for Sabitzer after losing Christian Eriksen to a long-term ankle problem, with the club securing his signature from Bayern Munich for the rest of the campaign.

The Austria international was in the stands at Old Trafford on Wednesday to watch his new side record a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final.

Sabitzer's debut for Man United could come against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and the midfielder has opened up on his excitement at joining the club.

"I will give my all for the jersey," Sabitzer, who will wear the number 15 shirt for his new side, told MUTV. "I'm very happy to be here, I will give my best and we will see what happens, but I am here to win trophies.

"Manchester United is a big club with fantastic fans. Old Trafford is a big stadium, I've played there once – it was empty – but I felt it was very nice."

Sabitzer also said that he is looking forward to playing under Erik ten Hag, with the midfielder sharing the same winning mindset as the head coach.

"Of course. Keep going every single day, put it all out [there] in training sessions, that's why I'm here. I like the way he plays, his teams play, he's a good coach and I'm looking forward to meeting him and playing under him," added the midfielder during Thursday's interview.

Sabitzer also said that he is "a very bad loser", with the midfielder determined to help the club be successful in the second half of the campaign.

"Yeah [laughs], I'm a very bad loser. Even in training, I can't lose. I have that mentality over the years, I hate to lose," added the Austrian.

The 28-year-old represented RB Leipzig ahead of a switch to Bayern, and he has made 54 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, scoring twice and contributing two assists in the process.

The midfielder has found it difficult to secure starts for his German club this term, but he has still featured on 24 occasions in all competitions, including six appearances in the Champions League.
