Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has said that he hopes to play well for his club to earn a regular place in the France team.
The 19-year-old made his second appearances for Les Bleus on Monday evening when he came off the bench in their 2-1 win over Serbia.
Martial, who recently joined United from AS Monaco for £36m, has said that his performances at Old Trafford will determine if he stays in the squad or not.
"We won, that is the most important thing. I came on, I could not be more happy," The Express quotes Martial as saying.
"It is a great honour. It was a bit like the Champions League – there was a lot of intensity. I gave what was necessary and we won. That is the most important thing. I could not be more happy.
"Of course it is different from with the Under-21s and the youth teams. I am very happy to be here, I hope for regular call-ups by playing well for my club."
Martial could make his United debut in Saturday's Premier League clash against rivals Liverpool.
