Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy has admitted that he is fully committed to forcing a result against Manchester United despite suggestions that the match is a "write off".
Some of the Wolves following believe that the Premier League side should spend more attention on their upcoming matches against Stoke City and Norwich City.
However, McCarthy thinks that they can take advantage following the Red Devils' Champions League exit.
"Of course it's wrong to write games off, but I can understand people looking at the home games," McCarthy told the Express and Star.
"Supporters tend to look past United and see two matches we should win. That's not necessarily the truth, as we proved last season, and Stoke and Norwich will both be tough.
"There's no point looking beyond United, but we might get a point or win, who knows? I never go anywhere and think we're going to get beat."
The two sides go head to head at Old Trafford on Saturday.
