David Moyes: 'Fulham draw is a new low'

Manchester United manager David Moyes says that the 2-2 draw against Fulham is symptomatic of his team's season.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that his side's 2-2 draw against Fulham is "as bad as it gets".

The Cottagers went ahead when Steve Sidwell volleyed in, but goals from Robin van Persie and Michael Carrick gave United a 2-1 lead with just 10 minutes remaining.

However, Darren Bent stunned the home side with an equaliser in stoppage time, and Moyes concedes that the result is a new low for his team.

"It's been a bit like that this season. Today was as bad as it gets. We dominated the game. Being one down was bad enough. The amount of attempts, chances and play we had was unbelievable. How we didn't win I have no idea," he told BBC Sport.

"It's goals that count. You can have as much possession as you like. We should have scored more. You've got to try and keep making it work. The players tried that today and eventually the goals did come and I was more disappointed we didn't make it 3-1.

"It was a bit of carelessness at the back and we could have cleared the ball but didn't and it cost us."

The Red Devils are seventh in the league, nine points behind Liverpool.
