Nani has named former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest player of all time.
The winger played alongside Ronaldo for two years at Old Trafford and has been an international teammate of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner since 2006, helping Portugal to Euro 2016 and Nations League glory.
Nani admits that he was "surprised" by the quality of Paul Scholes when he arrived at United, but picked out Ronaldo as the best player ever - ahead of the likes of Pele and Diego Maradona.
"One player who really surprised me and impressed me a lot in the beginning was Paul Scholes - he was phenomenal," Nani said during a Q&A with Football Wave.
"My favourite was still Cristiano Ronaldo - the best. Best player ever? I have seen so many... even from the past like Maradona, Pele... but I would pick my companion of many battles, someone I have won so much with, someone I really respect.
"Numbers don't lie and they also show he is the best - Cristiano Ronaldo."
Nani, now 33, currently plays for MLS side Orlando City.
