Former Manchester United star Gary Pallister has hit out at Manchester City over their handling of Carlos Tevez.
The ex-England defender called Roberto Mancini's decision to welcome the player back "farcical", and said that Alex Ferguson would have handled the situation differently.
"He lived in Manchester, he signed for another Manchester club, and then sat there and ripped the city apart, saying he didn't like the city, didn't like the way of life," The Sun quotes Pallister as saying.
"He's embarrassed the team, the manager, the owners. I don't think Alex Ferguson would have let him back anywhere near the place."
Tevez returned to City earlier this month following a six-month exile. He is expected to feature in this Saturday's home clash with Sunderland.
