Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will play no part in his side's first match of the Premier League season away to Bournemouth on Sunday.
The France international became the world's most expensive player when completing his move to the Red Devils earlier this week, signing a five-year contract at Old Trafford.
However, the Football Association has confirmed that he will play no part on the opening weekend due to a suspension that has been carried over from his time with Juventus.
Pogba was not expected to feature anyway having only recently returned to training following an extended break after Euro 2016, but it has now been confirmed that he is unavailable.
United will also be missing Chris Smalling for the opening game after he was sent off in the FA Cup final, while Leicester City's Robert Huth and Moussa Dembele of Tottenham Hotspur are the only other players banned for the opening weekend.
