Premier League clubs have spent more than £1bn in a single transfer window for the first time ever.
The 2015-16 campaign saw the £1bn mark breached over both the summer and winter windows, but the summer window of 2016 has now surpassed the landmark total on its own.
A record-breaking new TV deal has seen the prices of transfers rocket up this summer, most notably when Manchester United brought Paul Pogba to Old Trafford for a world-record fee of £89m.
An influx of world-class managers has also played a role in making it the most expensive window of all time, with Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte and others splashing the cash.
The likes of John Stones, Leroy Sane and Granit Xhaka have made big-money moves, while Shkodran Mustafi's switch to Arsenal - reportedly for a £35m fee - tipped the total over £1bn.
The transfer window closes at 11pm tomorrow night.
