Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has lavished praise on Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl ahead of Saturday's Premier League contest at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils will enter the match off the back of a 1-1 draw with Burnley on Tuesday, which saw them drop out of the top four in the table, while Southampton impressively won 3-2 at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
The Saints are now 10th in the division, having picked up 28 points from 23 matches, and Rangnick has hailed Hasenhuttl for his work since arriving at the club.
"I've known [Hasenhuttl] for six or seven years, he has developed in those years, it's obvious. You can see what he did with Southampton, he also did a great job at Leipzig, finishing second in the first year of the Bundesliga and sixth in the second year. What he's achieved at Southampton is great, just great. Excellent coach," Rangnick told reporters.
Hasenhuttl has taken charge of 141 matches since arriving as Southampton head coach in December 2018, boasting a record of 51 wins, 35 draws and 55 defeats.
The Saints held Man United to a 1-1 draw when they locked horns in the Premier League back in August, with Mason Greenwood on the scoresheet for the Red Devils after an own goal from Fred.
