Lars Kornetka has replaced Ralf Rangnick as head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow, with the 43-year-old not moving to Manchester United despite recent reports.
Rangnick has been confirmed as Man United's interim manager for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign, and it was claimed that Kornetka would follow his fellow German to Old Trafford.
However, Lokomotiv have revealed that Kornetka has replaced Rangnick as head of sports and development at the Russian outfit.
The new Man United head coach has worked with Kornetka at a number of clubs since 2007, including Hoffenheim, Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig.
Rangnick is expected to bring some staff members with him to Old Trafford, but the likes of Michael Carrick, Mike Phelan and Kieran McKenna are expected to remain at the club.
Carrick will again lead the team against Arsenal in the Premier League on Thursday, with Rangnick's first game at the helm potentially being the clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
