Marcus Rashford reportedly scored twice as Manchester United recorded a 3-0 win over Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The England international has not yet featured for the Red Devils in a competitive match this season, having undergone an operation on a troublesome shoulder injury over the summer.
Rashford has recently returned to full-contact training, though, and he scored twice in the friendly encounter against Blackburn, having been named in the starting XI, according to The Mirror.
The 23-year-old is now in contention to make his return for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side against Leicester City on October 16, where Man United will be aiming to record their fifth Premier League win of the season.
Rashford was an important player for the Red Devils during the 2020-21 campaign, making 57 appearances in all competitions, contributing 21 goals and 15 assists in the process.
Phil Jones, who is fit again after a long period out with a serious knee injury, is also believed to have been involved in the clash against Blackburn. body check tags ::
