Manchester United's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly assessing possible replacements for the club's current head coach Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils suffered their 15th defeat of the season in all competitions on Saturday afternoon when they went down 2-1 at home to Fulham in England's top flight.

The 20-time English champions have now lost 10 times in the Premier League this season, and a total of 44 points from 26 matches has left them sixth in the table, three points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and eight from Aston Villa in fourth position.

Ratcliffe is yet to publicly back Ten Hag, and according to the Manchester Evening News, the British billionaire and his team are analysing potential replacements for the Dutchman.

The report claims that Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is of interest to INEOS, with Ratcliffe 'not completely sold' on Ten Hag.

Man United are still chasing silverware in the FA Cup, preparing to head to Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the competition on Wednesday night.

Securing the FA Cup and claiming Champions League football for next season would be considered a success when taking into account the problems this term, but there is still a lot of football to be played.

A recent report claimed that Ratcliffe 'dreams' of appointing Zinedine Zidane as the club's new manager, with the Frenchman available, having not had a position since leaving Real Madrid in May 2021.

Graham Potter, who was most recently in charge of Chelsea, is also said to be admired by Ratcliffe, while Thomas Tuchel is thought to be in the frame, as he prepares to leave Bayern Munich.

Simone Inzaghi's work at Inter Milan has also allegedly put him in the frame for the position, with Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea also said to be keen on the Italian.

Ten Hag's relationship with Marcus Rashford is also said to be a concern, with the Dutchman said to be 'barely on speaking terms' with the forward.

Man United will resume their league campaign away to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon before hosting Everton and Sheffield United in back-to-back home matches.

However, their contest with Sheffield United, which is scheduled for March 16, will be rearranged if the Red Devils secure their spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
