Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that Jose Mourinho has agreed to take over at Manchester United in the summer.
The Portuguese coach, who has been out of work since getting sacked by Chelsea in December, has been widely tipped to move to Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal is currently at the helm, but United's inconsistent results, which have left them in doubt of finishing in the Champions League qualifying positions, has poured doubt over his long-term future.
In an interview with US radio station Sirius XM, Redknapp stated that it is only a matter of time before Mourinho's switch to United is confirmed.
"It hasn't worked out at all for Louis van Gaal at Manchester United," said Redknapp. "It's been a disaster for him. No doubt about that. From the people I know who are in the know, it seems Jose Mourinho to United is a done deal."
Mourinho has managed at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, and has won the league title at each club.
