Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino will become Manchester United's long-term manager at the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho was sacked as head coach of the Red Devils earlier this week, and the club's former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed the position until the end of the campaign.
Tottenham boss Pochettino is believed to be United's number one target next summer though, and Redknapp has said that "the special one" will be at Old Trafford entering the 2019-2020 campaign.
"I think Manchester United will get him. I think they will go for it and I think they will get him," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "Of course [Spurs fans should be worried] because he's the special one, he's a great manager that everyone would want at their club.
"Tottenham have got to do everything in their power to keep him, it's as simple as that. He's a very talented manager, the players adore him and play for him and you can see why Manchester United would want him."
Pochettino has a win record of just under 57% from his 244 matches in charge of Tottenham.
