Wayne Rooney is thought to be desperate to punish Sunderland this afternoon for the way Mackems fans behaved on the final day of last season.
Manchester United won at the Stadium of Light but were famously pipped to the Premier League title thanks to a last-gasp goal from Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Rooney remembers the way that Sunderland supporters reacted and is eyeing revenge when the two sides meet at Old Trafford later today.
The United striker told The Sun: "If there is one team I want to beat this season it will be Sunderland.
"For them to be cheering like that was sad. It was something I and a lot of the players won't forget."
Sir Alex Ferguson's side are in the driving seat this season following last weekend's derby win at the Etihad and sit six points clear at the top of the table.
