Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney expresses his belief that the club will bounce back following their title heartbreak last season.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has expressed his belief that the club will bounce back after they were narrowly beaten to the title by rivals Manchester City last season.

Sergio Aguero's 94th-minute strike against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of the season snatched the title from the grasp of United in one of the most dramatic finishes to a season ever.

However, Rooney believes that his side can learn from last season and pull through to get back to winning ways.

"I think we've all learned a lot. There have been a lot of games where you get a feeling afterwards that you never want to have again. Hopefully we can get hold of that feeling and make sure it doesn't happen again," said Rooney.

"Just look at all the young players in the squad: they've played a lot of games, had a lot of ups and downs and most of them are already getting selected for their national teams.

"That's all going to help them. The next two or three years will be a big test for them and I'm sure we'll all pull through it."

Rooney joined United in 2004 and has since made 366 appearances for the club, scoring 182 goals.
