Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney thinks that the Red Devils are capable of toppling Manchester City off the top of the table in the second half of the season.
The blue half of Manchester are currently five points clear of their red opponents in the Premier League table.
"You never know what's going to happen, but we managed to come back last season," said Rooney.
"There's a lot of games left. They [Man City] certainly have the players to be up there towards the end of the season, so we are not taking them lightly.
"But we are just digging in and getting points on the board."
The league title holders now switch their focus to the Champions League as they take on Benfica at Old Trafford tomorrow.
